Access Your SRJC Bear Cubs Email
Use your SRJC email for registration notices, financial aid updates, Canvas notifications, instructor messages, and other important college communications.

Why do I need a Bear Cubs email address?
- Primary contact method for SRJC communications to students.
- Discounted educational versions of software such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and others.
- Limited Google Workspace account with access to Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and others.
Common Questions & Troubleshooting
- Is this the same login as Bear Cub Hub?
No. Your student email account uses a different username and password from the Bear Cub Hub and Canvas systems. You can confirm your email address and reset your password on our Student Email Accounts page.
- Why can't I sign in?
Confirm that you are using your complete SRJC student email address and the password associated with your SRJC Google account. Bear Cub Hub and Canvas use different credentials. You can confirm your email address and reset your password on our Student Email Accounts page.
- What username do I use?
Use your full SRJC student email address. Example: jsmith@bearcubs.santarosa.edu
- What password do I use?
If you have never logged into your Bear Cubs email account, the default password will be your Student ID number with a capital "S" as the first character. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by going to our Student Email Accounts page.
- I don't have have a Bear Cubs email account, how can I get one?
Students who are fully matriculated (registered for classes) will get a Bear Cubs email address assigned to them. If you are currently registered and do not have a Bear Cubs email address, open a ticket with the Student Help Desk.
- My account says it doesn’t exist.
Your email account may still be processing, or the email address may have been entered incorrectly. Use the email lookup tool first. If the account still cannot be found, contact the call the Student Help Desk at 707-521-6062 or open a ticket.
- How does my student email relate to Canvas?
Canvas may send course and instructor notifications to your official student email. Check both Canvas and your SRJC email regularly. You can change your default email notifications from Canvas to your personal email address by logging into Canvas, choosing "Account", and then "Settings" and look for the area called "Ways to Contact".
- Can I automatically forward my Bear Cubs emails to my personal email account?
No, this is not allowed for security reasons. Instead, we recommend setting up your Bear Cubs email in an email client (see below) so you can check multiple email accounts in one place.

This can prevent conflicts with personal Google accounts.
Use your full email address
Enter the entire SRJC student email address at Google sign-in.
Keep your password secure
Do not share your password or save it on a public computer.
Check email regularly
Important updates about enrollment, classes, and financial aid may be sent there.
Set up Google Email in common email clients
You may choose to set up your SRJC email address in an email client instead of checking it on the web.
