The Vision Resource Center (VRC) is an online learning and communication platform provided by the Chancellor’s Office designed to support the goals and commitments of the California Community Colleges for access to high quality professional development. This implementation of the VRC at SRJC will position the District to provide transformative professional learning opportunities in alignment with the accreditation standards 3.1.
At this time, SRJC has launched the VRC to only SRJC Classified Professionals and Management Team Members. Employee participation is voluntary.
To ensure District preparedness and technical support for this robust system, the VRC launch is in three phases:
Phase 1: Fall 2025 Employee Focus - Workforce Empowerment and Development initiative
Explore the VRC Learner Home Catalog – The VRC Learner Home catalog comprises training from various providers like the Cornerstone, the Chancellor’s Office, the CCC system, and other third-party content providers
Create individual playlists
Upload completed trainings into individual Transcripts – training should apply to an employee’s current role
Phase 2: Spring 2026 Department Focus
- Review department goals and needs
- Create training curriculums and department playlists
- Supervisor ability to assign trainings and create, run/receive auto reports
Phase 3: Summer 2026/Fall 2026 District Wide Focus
- Strategic Plan alignment
- Build directory of SRJC expert trainers for tailored SRJC training
- Instructor Led Trainings (ILT)
- Explore integrations with other systems for example, Kennan and Canvas
- SRJC Communication Platforms
