Before you begin

If you have forgotten your password and need to reset it:

  • Online: Use the SRJC password self-service tool
    • Only available to faculty, staff and administrators
    • Registration prior to forgetting your password is needed to reset your password through this app
    • Accounts belonging to departments are not eligible to use the self-service tool; the account owner will need to request a reset via phone or in person
  • In person: Visit the IT Help Desk, Bussman Hall Room 1434. A technician will provide assistance in changing your password
  • Via phone: Dial x1765 from a campus phone. A technician will provide you with a temporary password. The next time you login, you will be prompted to change your password.

For security reasons, SRJC IT staff must be able to verify your identity in order to reset your password.


Use the SRJC password self-service tool

Attention:

Registration is required to reset expired or forgotten password and/or unlock account. You will not be able to register for this service is you do not know your current SRJC password.

To use the self-service tool:

  1. Go to SRJC Password Reset
    • Change Password will allow you to change your password, if you know your current password.
    • Reset Expired or Forgotten Password will allow you to reset an expired or forgotten password using the security questions you setup during the registration process.
    • Unlock Account will allow you to unlock your account, which occurs if you have entered the incorrect password too many times.
    • User Registration will allow you to establish your identity with the self-service tool, allowing for use of the above functions.

Resetting your password in Windows 7/10 or Mac OS (on campus only)

  1. On your keyboard, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
  2. Select 'Change a password'
  3. Complete the process by entering your old password and your new password

  2. Select 'Users & Groups'
  3. Click 'Change Password'
  4. Complete the process by entering your old password and your new password
