The Information Technology department manages the central technology infrastructure for the Sonoma County Junior College District. Our goal is to provide the technological services and support you need to do your work.

We believe the information below will jump start your career at Santa Rosa Junior College .


Email Icon

1) Access Your Email

Access your email from any device with a web browser and an internet connection through O365. Configure the Outlook desktop or mobile app and manage our out-of-office email message, email signatures, and more.

2) Log into your Workstation

Log into your assigned computer with your SRJC username and password. During the initial login, you will be asked to create a new password. This new password will also apply to your SRJC email account.

3) Fileshares and Account Requests

Speak with your supervisor about any fileshare access or account requests that you may need. You can request access to department fileshares via this form. If you already have received access to a fileshare and are not able to navigate to the location, the IT Help Desk can assist with mapping the location for you.

4) Document Management

To ensure that your data is backed up, we recommend storing your files and documents SRJC provides you with a variety of document management tools to help you store, share and collaborate on files. These tools include a personal network storage drive (X:\), departmental shared drives (S:\), OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and File Depot.

Printer

5) Printing

Check your computer to ensure you have access to all the printers you need. If you do not, make a note of the make, model and IP address (can be found through printer settings or via a coworker), then submit a request to have the printer installed.

Note: Some Kyocera printers utilize Job Accounting, which requires a code to allow printing. Your supervisor should be able to provide you with this code if needed.

6) Instant Messaging

Skype for Business is included as a part of Office365. It enables individuals and groups to chat live and also keeps conversations secure, organized and accessible from anywhere.

Also included with Office365 is Microsoft Teams. Although Teams is a collaboration suite, it also features a chat function similar to popular social media apps.


Mobile Device

7) SRJC Wireless and Personal Device Registration

The SRJC Wireless network is available for employees of the District to connect their personal devices. This network provides users with an encrypted wireless connection to the Internet. Employees can register up to 3 personal devices. Visit the SRJC Employee Device Portal to register your devices.

8) Telephone & Voicemail

Help Desk Support

9) SRJC IT Help Desk

Help Desk technicians are available Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm to assist you with SRJC related computer or communication issues. They can also help route your request to the right person if the IT Help Desk is not the right place.

Stop by the Help Desk between Monday thru Thursday 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm. Submit a ticket via support@santarosa.edu. Or call x1765 from any SRJC phone (or 707-524-1765 from any other phone).

Use the ServiceDesk Plus portal to:

  • Submit a help ticket.
  • Explore the catalog of IT services to find what you need, and submit a request for SRJC IT service.
  • Browse self-help resources for answers to common questions and solutions to technical problems.
